About Us
CAARA is a food and hospitality brand built around a simple belief: great food begins with quality ingredients and becomes memorable through the experience around it.
Founded in 2014 by Ambika Seth and Alice Helme, CAARA began as a catering venture and has grown into a multi-dimensional food brand spanning cafés and restaurants, bespoke catering, at home chef & food delivery, gourmet kitchen essentials, gifting and culinary experiences.
Our food begins with the ingredients we grow at our own farms in Delhi and those we source from local artisans and farmers across the country. From fragrant herbs and garden-grown vegetables to, we let the rhythm of the farms shape our menus, our cooking and the flavours we serve.
AMBIKA SETH - CO-FOUNDER
Ambika brings over 15 years of experience across hospitality, lifestyle, food, and design. She spent a decade in Switzerland, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management at Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne.
She began her professional journey in Vietnam, spending two years with Six Senses, where she was involved in the development and launch of luxury resorts. She later moved into asset management with Indochina Capital, overseeing a diverse portfolio of seven leisure assets across Vietnam, including GHM and Hyatt properties, golf courses, and luxury serviced residences.
In 2013, Ambika returned to India and co-founded CAARA, bringing together her passion for food, hospitality, and thoughtful lifestyle experiences.
ALICE MIRABEL HELME - CO-FOUNDER
Alice Helme completed an intensive culinary course at Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland, where her passion for food and appreciation for quality ingredients took root. This eventually led her to establish and run her own catering business in India.
During her university years at the University of Exeter in the UK, Alice worked with a financial PR firm in London. She then spent two years in New York working in PR and Marketing, gaining experience across a diverse range of industries, including luxury goods, gourmet food, fashion, and art.
In 2010, Alice moved to Delhi, where she worked as a market strategy consultant, advising international brands on market entry and launches in India. She collaborated closely with leading Indian real estate, PR, design, and graphic firms, and worked on pan-India marketing and PR strategies for prestigious brands including Paul Smith, Cartier, and Christie’s.
